Bay City School District recently issued the following announcement.
Bay City Public Schools will be closed on Friday, January 21 and Monday, January 24. Here is the message from Superintendent Bigelow that was emailed to families this morning:
Dear Bay City Public Schools Families,
We are keeping a close eye on the impact of illnesses and our ability to appropriately staff buildings. Due to the high number of illnesses and to provide an opportunity to rest and recharge, all district schools will be closed on Friday, January 21 and Monday, January 24, 2022.
We will also use this opportunity to sanitize our facilities before students and staff return on January 25.
After school activities will take place as normal this evening (January 20). All elementary and middle school activities will be canceled on January 21 and January 24. High school athletic contests will continue during the closure when possible.
