State Representative Bill G. Schuette has been sworn in for his second term in the Michigan House of Representatives. The ceremony took place with Michigan Supreme Court Justice Kyra Harris Bolden officiating.
Schuette, who represents the 95th House District, was accompanied by several guests, including his parents, former Attorney General Bill Schuette and Cynthia Schuette. Other attendees included Bill Leikhim, Cathy Leikhim, Diane Bristol, Judy Rapanos, Jackie Medema, Chris Moultrup, and Ardis Foster.
The 95th House District covers all of Midland County and parts of Gladwin County including Beaverton, Billings, and Tobacco townships.
In a statement following the ceremony, Schuette expressed his commitment to serving his constituents: “I am honored to begin another term serving as a voice for people in Midland and Gladwin counties in the 103rd Legislature,” he said. He emphasized priorities such as protecting livelihoods and making life more affordable for residents while ensuring good local roads and safe neighborhoods.
The swearing-in coincided with the Michigan House of Representatives' first session day for the 2025-26 legislative term.
