A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was submitted to the Midland County Election Division in Michigan on October 30, 2024. The request was made by Tri-City Sun, a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.

The request specifically sought records related to pre-election testing of voting machines used in the county's elections. The requested documents were asked to be provided in PDF format and include specific details such as the test date, machine manufacturer, machine model number, and machine status indicating whether it passed or failed the test.

As part of our mission at Tri-City Sun, we are dedicated to holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.
