State Rep. Timmy Beson | Michigan House Republicans
State Representative Timmy Beson recently hosted Saginaw Valley State University President Dr. George Grant Jr. as his guest for the State of the State address at the state Capitol in Lansing. Beson, an alumnus of SVSU with a bachelor's degree in business management, expressed his gratitude for having Dr. Grant accompany him.
“I was honored to be joined by Dr. Grant for the governor’s address,” Beson remarked. He emphasized the significance of SVSU in providing educational opportunities to residents of Bay City and Bay County, helping them advance their careers.
Beson also highlighted his commitment to supporting higher education through his role on the House Appropriations Committee. “Through my role on the House Appropriations Committee, I will continue to support our institutions of higher education and make sure they have the resources they need to help people prepare for their careers here in Michigan,” he stated.
The event underscored Beson's ongoing dedication to fostering educational growth and ensuring adequate resources are available for institutions like SVSU.
