FOIA Request to Arenac County Election Division Regarding Upcoming Election Candidates on February 5, 2025.

As part of our commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Tri-City Sun have sent a request under the Michigan Freedom of Information Act § 15.231 et seq. to the Arenac County Election Division.

Our request is focused on obtaining a list of all candidates running in the upcoming election. We believe that public access to this information is essential for transparency and accountability in our democratic processes. The details we have requested include the candidates' full names, the offices they are running for, their jurisdiction, and their party affiliation.

In addition to these details, we have also requested contact information for each candidate. This includes their address, phone number, and email address.
