Representative Bill G. Schuette, a Republican from Midland representing the 95th State House District, has addressed the constituents regarding the vacancy in the 35th Senate District. This seat became vacant following Congresswoman McDonald Rivet's election.

Schuette stated, "I wish to extend my congratulations to Congresswoman McDonald Rivet. With her election, the 35th State Senate district is now vacant and we’re waiting on a special election to be called by Gov. Whitmer." He emphasized his commitment to serving the people of Mid-Michigan during this interim period.

He assured residents of Midland County that they have representation in Lansing despite the current vacancy. "The 35th Senate District is vacant, but people in Midland County should know they have a strong advocate in Lansing," Schuette added.

Constituents needing assistance with state agencies or wishing to express their views on legislative matters are encouraged to contact Representative Schuette's office via email at [email protected], phone at (517) 373-0152, or by mail at P.O. Box 30014, Lansing, MI 48909.
