State Representative Bill G. Schuette has been honored with the Champion of Free Enterprise Award by the Michigan Chamber of Commerce. The award, presented on Thursday morning, acknowledges Schuette's support for Michigan's business community and his voting record that benefits small business owners in Midland and Gladwin counties.
Schuette expressed his commitment to policies that foster job creation, stating, "Job providers in our state provide livelihoods for millions of Michiganders, and it’s important that our Legislature works to empower job creation instead of adding on burdensome regulations and higher taxes like we’ve seen over the past year and a half." He further emphasized his dedication to advocating for commonsense economic policies at both state and local levels.
The Michigan Chamber of Commerce is an organization representing about 5,000 member businesses across all 83 counties in Michigan. It also includes trade associations and local chambers. Schuette serves as the representative for the 95th House District, covering all of Midland County and parts of Gladwin County.
