Saturday night, the City of Caro Fire members had the privilege of traveling to Zehnders of Frankenmuth with our significant others for our annual spouse appreciation and awards dinner. We all believe in supporting and serving our community to the fullest, and this would not be possible without the support and dedication we receive from our loved ones at home. There are days we miss family functions, holidays, sporting events, and several other occasions so we can go help others in their times of need. We would like to thank our significant others dearly for allowing us to perform our duties and keeping our home lives in order when we are answering the call.

We also chose this night to honor members of our department for various accomplishments.

-  Captain Matt Demaray received his 15-year service pin

-Firefighters Evan Gunsell, Andrew Ritter, and Jacob Lefler all received their 5 year service pin

- Firefighter David Peters received most runs attended for the year, followed by Andrew Ritter, Nick Britton, Don Gilberg, and Logan Carpenter.

- Captain Aaron Hildinger recieved Fire Officer of the year

- Firefighter Heath Peters received firefighter of year

We also recognized three members of our department who served our great nation in the United States Military.

-1st Assistant Chief Larry Boitel Sr. for his service in the United States Army.

- Captain Aaron Hildinger for his service in the United States Marine Corps.

- Firefighter Jesse Harvey for his service in the United States Navy.

We would also like to give a huge thank you to Mayville Fire Department for helping cover our area so we can make this night possible.
