Isabella Bank to Sponsor Dial-A-Ride Free Travel Day

The City of Midland is excited to announce that Tuesday, December 20 will be a fare-free travel day for all users of its curb-to-curb bus service, Dial-A-Ride Transportation (DART), through a unique partnership with Isabella Bank.

All rides on December 20 during Dial-A-Ride’s bus service hours will be provided free of charge to riders courtesy of Isabella Bank. To reserve a ride time on Free Day of Travel hosted by Isabella Bank, riders should call Dial-A-Ride at 989-837-6940. Passengers must book rides in advance and rides are reserved on a first-call, first-served basis. Time slots do become filled, so riders are encouraged to call with as much advance notice as possible to increase their chances of booking a ride at the preferred time. Dial-A-Ride reservations may be made as far as 30 days in advance.

“We are proud to partner with the City of Midland’s Dial-A-Ride Transportation and provide a free day of travel for individuals in the Midland community,” said Isabella Bank Market President Mike Williams. “Isabella Bank deeply cares about the community and is happy to be able to give back. We hope this day can help spread a little cheer during this holiday season.”

“Free Day of Travel is a wonderful opportunity for anyone to use Dial-A-Ride: It provides a fare-free day for our regular riders and gives a no-cost option for first-time passengers to experience our services,” said Dial-A-Ride Manager Amy Bidwell. “We are incredibly grateful to Isabella Bank for making this free day of travel a reality for our community.”

Dial-A-Ride is a curb-to-curb bus service, so passengers must be able to meet the bus at the curb for pick-up. Dial-A-Ride offers rides Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. - 10:30 p.m.; Saturday from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.; and Sunday from 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Dial-A-Ride offers lift-equipped vehicles for riders who use mobility devices or require lift assistance.
