The moment the strange and fierce storm ended yesterday - the sun came out and so did these incredible young ladies. Coach Amber Todd and Dowagiac Union Schools Junior and Varsity Volleyball teams were ready to work.
Athletes from Dowagiac Union Schools Volleyball teams had reached out to the City seeking something they could all volunteer together to accomplish. Yesterday they learned a little about the 15 sculptures across the city as the washed and waxed "Cheetahs on the Run" by Sculptor Rosetta and "Resting Dancer" by Sculptor Tuck Langland, and pulled every weed they could find in the landscaping and along the walks of City Hall Park.
This won't be the last you'll see of these teams. They will be back for a couple more adventures. Ladies, we are grateful and proud you chose to share your time, talents and excitement with us!
