Along with the work being done on the inside of the new Department of Public Works Building, 1645 Marquette Avenue, new buildings are going up on the property. The pole barns you see will be home to our Sanitation, Streets and Parks divisions. There are also buildings go up on the other side of Andre Street – one is for spoils, the other is salt storage.
Back in the main building, the office area is really taking shape. The last time we checked in electrical work was underway. Now, the walls are drywalled and ready to be painted. Along the exterior, some of the old walls are gone and new masonry is going up. There will be several new garage doors as well.
Up next, expect to see painting inside and cement being poured at the pole barns.
