Summer Activity Tips

C

The first day of summer is officially here! Below are some tips to help you enjoy break!

Family bike rides - Explore a bike trail or a the neighborhood together. Don't forget the water!

Picnic - take the family to a local or state park. Take the time to explore nature.

Sidewalk chalk murals - Get some fun colored chalk and have an art contest on the sidewalk or driveway outside your home

Backyard Stargazing - grab those blankets and lay outside on a clear night and pick out the star constellations

Backyard camping - maybe your children are too small for the campgrounds, so make a night of it in your backyard!

Make milk carton boats - Take an old milk carton and shape it in the fashion of a boat. You can even paint it and stick a toothpick in it with a taped flag! Test it out by putting it in water in the sink or bath.

Paint rocks - Are you one with rocks everywhere in your yard or nearby? Have fun painting faces or designs on rocks with your kids. You could use these as door stoppers or paper weights!
