Dowagiac Area History Museum issued the following announcement on Mar 1.
In addition to the program last week on African Americans in Law Enforcement, the museum also added a new exhibit case on Chief George Grady to its permanent display, 'Small Town, Big World: Locals Who Made History.' Grady made history in 1965 when he was appointed Chief of Police, the first African American Chief in Michigan and possibly the 2nd in the nation!
Thank you to Dennis Grady (shown here at the exhibit) and the entire Grady family for donating his collection to the museum. Stop in and learn more about Law Enforcement Trailblazer George Grady.
