City of Flint issued the following announcement on Jan 18.
SUBJECT: WASTEWATER PLANT DISCHARGE
On 1/13/22, at approximately 2:00 p.m., until 1/14/22, at 3:45 p.m., the City of Flint Water Pollution Control Facility lost its chlorine disinfection for the final effluent discharged to the Flint River. The chlorination system had to be shut down due to a broken non-potable process water line used in the disinfection system. The water discharged received full wastewater treatment with the exception of the chlorination.
Notification of the water sample test results will be made by postings on the State of Michigan website.
