Dowagiac Fire Department issued the following announcement on Jan 5.
Lance dedicated over 30 years to serving his community. He has recently been diagnosed with stage 3 cancer and is in need of our help. Lance served on our neighboring department; Sister Lakes Fire Department and attended several calls, trainings, and events along side your Dowagiac firefighters.
As fireman, we are a family. Brotherhood doesn’t care what department we are on, how big or how small, what jurisdiction we cover. All that matters is that when we see a fellow brother in need, we reach out and help in any way that we can.
There will be a Lance Rogalski Benefit Dinner and a gofundme has been set up. Please follow our friends at Sister Lakes Fire Department for more info.
