City of Midland issued the following announcement on Dec 16.
The upcoming holiday season will cause changes to refuse and recycling collection schedules for some City residents over the next two weeks.
City offices and services will be closed on Friday, December 24 and Monday, December 27 for the Christmas holiday. Residents with Friday, December 24 refuse and Friday Week 3 recycling collection should place items at the curb on Thursday, December 23. Residents with Monday, December 27 refuse and Monday Week 4 recycling collection should place items at the curb on Tuesday, December 28.
Offices and services will also be closed on Friday, December 31 in observance of the New Year’s Day holiday. Residents with Friday, December 31 refuse and Friday Week 4 recycling collection should place items at the curb on Monday, January 3.
Place items at the curb no later than 7:30 a.m. to ensure collection. Households whose refuse and recycling collection are impacted by holiday closures were sent a postcard in the mail last week.
Residents can find all of the City’s regular and holiday collection schedules, as well as set email and mobile alert reminders, by using the free Recycle Coach™ app available on mobile from the iTunes Store and Google Play or online at www.recyclecoach.com.
