Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Breastcancer

Bay City School District issued the following announcement on Sept 18.

This is Ryker Meyette, a 2nd grade student at MacGregor Elementary School. His favorite subject is science, and he loves fishing, camping, playing video games, riding his go-cart, and spending time with his family.

Two years ago, Ryker was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He has a little over a year left of chemotherapy treatments. We're hoping his treatment plan works well and puts this disease in remission. Ryker has handled his diagnoses very well - he is a hit among doctors, nurses, and other staff at the University of Michigan Hospital.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and Ryker's story is near and dear to the Bay City Public Schools family. We're rooting for you!
