City of Bay City recently issued the following announcement.
If your travels take you over the Independence Bridge be prepared for lane closures. The lane closures are expected to last until noon. Crews will be washing the bridge grating on the southbound lanes.
As a reminder, the Independence Bridge spans the Saginaw River as Harry S. Truman Parkway between Marquette Avenue to the north and Woodside Avenue to the south. Alternate routes to cross the river include the Liberty, Veterans Memorial and Lafayette bridges to the south.
