Kokomo's Family Fun Center in Saginaw recently received a $2,000 citation for violating the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services' (MDHHS) orders related to COVID-19, according to Michigan Capitol Confidential.
The Citation and Notification of Penalty by the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity states that the amusement business, upon an inspection, failed to provide an environment that included measures to protect employees from contracting the coronavirus.
Kokomo's didn’t have signs posted in English, or any other language, advising employees of proper cough and sneeze etiquette or to stay home when they are sick, according to the citation. The center also didn’t have a COVID-19 response plan and didn’t ensure its employees practiced social distancing or were wearing cloth face coverings.
Kokomo's has been offering entertainment for all ages for more than two decades, according to its website. The center features a variety of attractions including an arcade, go-karts, bumper boats, laser tag, batting cages and miniature golf. Kokomo's also hosts birthday parties and corporate events.
