Imlay City Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Oct. 27.
The Imlay City Chamber of Commerce will hold its election for Board of Directors during the month of November of 2020. Three board members will be elected at this time. All three board positions are for three year terms. If you are a member of the Imlay City Area of Commerce and are interested in becoming a member of the Board of Directors, please contact Shannon Hamel, Executive Director, Imlay City Area Chamber of Commerce, on or before November 11, 2020, at (810) 542-3256 or email at executivedirector@imlaycitymich.com. All members who are interested in becoming a member of the Board will be considered by the Nominating Committee if they contact Shannon Hamel by November 11, 2020. Pursuant to the Chamber by-laws, the nominating committee will determine which three to five potential board member’s names will be placed on the ballot. The ballots for the election will be mailed to all Chamber members on November 13, 2020 and they must be returned so as to reach the Board office on or before November 24, 2020.
