If your fall plans include any projects that involve digging, make sure to think safety first and call 811 three full working days before the job to have your underground utility lines marked for free. This is crucial because the depth of utility lines varies and there may be multiple utility lines in a common area. Digging without calling 811 first can disrupt service to an entire neighborhood, harm you and those around you and potentially result in fines and repair costs.
