68 percent of applicants to Northwood University were admitted for fall 2018

At Northwood University, 56 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 58 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Midland enrolled 3,177 students in fall 2018, including 2,827 in undergraduate and 350 in graduate programs, data shows. 19.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

79 percent of undergraduates are residents of Michigan, and 18 percent are residents of other states. 3 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (66 percent) and Black or African American (10 percent).

The school admitted 68 percent of the 1,445 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 27 percent enrolled.
