Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on August 5.
A great way to get out of the house and enjoy the warm weather is with a picnic. Flint & Genesee has plenty of places to have a meal. Here are some of the places you can go.
Stepping Stone Falls
In Flint, Stepping Stone Falls has a great picnic area and a beautiful view of the man-made waterfall that brings Mott Lake into the Flint River.
Millpond Park
In Fenton, Millpond Park provides a wonderful place for a picnic with a view of the millpond on the Shiawassee River.
Rust Park
Located close to downtown Grand Blanc, Rust Park is a great place for a picnic right next to Thread Creek.
Flushing County Park
Located in the middle of Flushing, the county park is a great place to get lost in nature and a perfect place for a packed lunch.
Davison Roadside County Park
In Burton off Davison Road, this small park has made a big impression and is a wonderful place to enjoy a picnic.
