Imlay City Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on April 6.
There have been many questions regarding this year’s fair. Many of you have heard that MSU Extension has suspended all face-to-face for 4-H until September 1st. While we cannot predict what state the country will be in when fair time rolls around, rest assured if we can hold the fair we will. With that said, we have made a few changes.
Understanding these are tough times for some families:
1. We are waving the $10 project registration fee.
2. There will be no requirement for youth to be affiliated with 4-H to register for the fair.
3. Please register as usual for camping, however payment will be collected upon arrival.
We will continue to work hard to ensure a successful fair for everyone. We are also discussing a Plan B just in case we are unable to hold the fair this year. Please understand we appreciate everyone that makes up the Eastern Michigan State Fair. We are all in this together, and together we will get though it.
